Everyone has a dream, but following a dream takes courage, determination and discipline. For as long as she can remember, Sarah Monique has dreamed of becoming a singer and sharing the music in her heart with the world…and now that dream is becoming a reality.
Born and raised deep in the Rio Grande Valley, young Sarah was only seven years old when a teacher took notice of her natural talent and introduced her to Mariachi music and powerful female voices like Ana Gabriel, Yolanda Del Rio and Rocio Durcal became her idols. Later, she grew to admire the beautiful, talented women of Tejano: Selena Quintanilla-Perez, Elida Reyna, Shelly Lares, Elsa Garcia, Laura Canales and Stephanie Lynn, in particular.
Since first finding her voice, Sarah has worked hard to develop as a singer, incorporating these influences to complement her natural sound. Over the years, while pursuing her education, she participated in numerous contests and showcases, continuing to build her experience as a performer and connecting with audiences all over Texas.
Sarah released her debut album, appropriately titled Un Sueño Realidad in 2013, with her strong, passionate, confident voice shining through on each and every track. The album single, her cover of the Laura Canales classic, "Si Vivi Contigo" was especially popular, hitting #1 on a variety of Tejano radio stations from Texas to Washington State. In 2014, her hard work and bright future were recognized with a nomination for Best New Female Artist at the Tejano Music Awards.
In 2014 and 2015 Sarah continued to work on new music, releasing singles, “En Esta Tumba” and “Te Quiero Solo A Ti” , In 2016 her newest sensation "Volar Ft. Aisha" hit #1 in several radio stations & was released to show the public what would be featured in her new album titled "Regresa".
Back and stronger than ever, Sarah Monique is a force to be reckon with, releasing her Latest Single, “Que Esperabas,” under the Label, Mar Records. Sarah is currently finishing her Album under the direction of Gerardo Alvarez, well known songwriter, musician and producer.
They say that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. The future belongs to Sarah Monique.
